Vertigo is a 1958 psychological thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was premiered in the San Sebastian International Film Festival. In 1989 Vertigo was recognized as a culturally, historically and aesthetically significant film by the National Film Registry and subsequently restored in 1996.
